• After two days of reflection and analysis, participants in the GO "Climate Change Resilience" workshop had the opportunity to observe adaptation solutions in action before concluding with concrete recommendations to strengthen climate resilience in their own territories.

  • On the third day, participants left the conference room for a visit to the Kruibeke polders, an exemplary project that combines flood protection, biodiversity restoration, and citizen engagement. This immersive experience was covered by VRT NWS, providing media visibility for the workshop.

    The final day of the workshop focused on turning ideas into concrete actions. Topics discussed included:

    • A comparative analysis of relocation strategies for coastal areas at risk;
    • Access to climate finance, with a presentation of the Climate Finance Explorer and tools tailored for Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs);
    • Creative workshops that helped visualize and structure the key takeaways from the workshop.

    The workshop concluded with a strong sense of collective commitment and mobilization, with a clear intent to continue the collaborations initiated during the week.
